I am intrigued by complex problem solving, with leadership experience in design, manufacturing, testing, marketing and consulting. This portfolio is a showcase of my work, from courses to clubs and personal projects.

Hands Free Kitchen Timer

Hands Free Kitchen Timer For my mechanical design class, I designed the software using an Arduino Uno to create a pre-production prototype handless kitchen timer. It utilizes an ultrasonic sensor for distance sensing and can be used for not only those with dirty hands, but also disabled people and elderly with issues being tactile.

Throughout the year, I joined the new business sub-team for Baja SAE and worked under guidance from the president of Baja Buckeyes and the Formula SAE team’s business lead to develop an RFP document for the business presentation portion of the competition, as well as an oral presentation that placed 10th out of 76 teams at the Oregon Competition.

Software Development Project: Blackjack Study Game

In my first semester of college, I partnered with fellow engineering student James Butts to create a blackjack game, with the twist that flashcards can be imported to help one study, “gamifying” the study process.
